Toyota has become a multinational corporation headquartered in Japan. It is the world’s largest automayer employing paroximately 320,808 people world wide.
Back in 1937, Kiichiro Toyoda, founded the company after his father’s fruitful begining by creating Toyota Industries. In 1934, Toyota Industries created it’s first automobile engine, which they called Type A engine. Subsequently in 1936, they had their first passenger car, the Toyota AA. Before Toyota Motor Company trademarked their name, the company sold under the name “Toyoda” last name of founder’s family Kiichiro Toyoda. As of September 1936, the company decided tu run a public competition to design a new logo. The name was changed to Toyota. The word Toyoda literally means “fertile rice paddies. By changing the name, the company wouldn’t have to worky for anyone to associate the brand with old fashioned farming. In 1937, Toyota Motor Company became a registered trademark.
As previously stated, Toyota is now the world’s largest automaker. It all has to do in terms of their sales, net worth, revenue, and profits. Acording to many experts, Toyota has been a leader since the 1960’s. Consistenly productive with it’s revenue; when compared to the competitors. Toyota vehicles are also well recognized for the quality of its products.
Before becoming a top automobile company, Toyota started in 1933 in a division of Toyota Automatic Loom Works which was under the direction of the companies founder’s son, Kiichiro Toyoda.
