HISTORY
Nissan first started in 1928  with their first president: Yoshisuke Aikawa. The name originated from the holding company Nippon Sangyo, which was abbreviated by the Tokyo stock market to Nissan. With in their starting years, Nippong Sangyo, was encharged of foundries and aupto parts businesses.  It was not until 1933 that Nissan manufactured it’s first vehicle. During the late 1930’s Nissan had 74 firms working for it.
In 1931, Aikawa purchased shares in DAT Motors, and in 1933 purchased another auto company: Tobata Casting. Both aquisitions drove Nissan to build its first automobile.
Yoshisuke Aikawa decided that instead of selling just automobile parts, the Tobata Casting division, was going to incorporate a new secondary brand to the company named Nissan Motors (Nissan). The new companies investor’s were not pleased with the new addition to the Tobata Casting division.  This lead toYoshisuke Aikawa buying all of Tobata Casting shareholds. Later on, in 1934 Nissa Motors was bought by rival company Nippon Sangyo and Hitachi.
Nissan started building trucks, airplanes, and even engines for the Japanes military. The companies biggest plant as well as the main plant was moved to China. Throughout history, Nissan has changed names. But a since early 1950’s Nissan Motor Company Ltd. has been the official name from this Japanes brand.
